AC Andrew on dryland

I know somebody out there has done this. How does AC Andrew compare to CPS wheat or Superb HRS on dryland (in wet areas)? How does it stand with high fertility?

If you have very high N levels the Soft wheat wont make protein? What does it do? Just more vegetative growth and stay green untill October?

I imagine the only markets are ethanol or the board, feeders wont want SWS as it is low protein?

Andrew is an amazing variety under irrigation. On dryland it seems to do 5 to 20 bu better than foremost. It will be geared toward ethanol markets but I can see it as a fit for finishing feeders because the energy levels are very high in it.

Seeded 600 ac In 2007 and it yielded 25 bus/ac better than Superb and had a average yeild of 68 bus/ac. It has a 5 day longer growing season and should be seeded before May 16. I farm in East Central Sask. CWB pro is $7.00/bus . Midge damage is not a grading factor. Wont be seeding any more HRS it just dosnt pencil. Fertilizer dry 60-20-15. Direct seeded onto canola stubble, excess moisture conditions.

Breadwinner, midge damage is a grading factor if selling to the board and if it goes through the screen it is dockage. Ethanol and feedmills here do not take dockage on it. Local pig feed mills here figure it is just as good as any other wheat as they say the digestable protien is good. Which is a different protien test that is done at the local ellevator.
