airseeding without packers

How much packing do you need after seeding. I have an airseeder with 3-bar harrows and am wondering whether to harrow, heavy harrow or harrow/pack? What about a land roller? How will this affect emergence, weed emergence, any other concerns? Also cereals vs canola. Thanks

A lot depends on your soil type (amount of clay, organic matter, etc) and moisture conditions (wet or dry)at the time of seeding... Often times I find we overpack... Good seed to soil contact is the objective and you'd be surprised how little that takes at times...
