What are the highest canola yields this year?

East central AB and Dekalb 7345 running about 60 all day. 13 Plots on this field including L150 H29 and Dekalb varieties and doing the weigh wagon thing tomorrow so will post the results.

Quarter had 7345 and was 57 so was quite close to plot yields

InVigour Health 1145 did well this year, 50% hail and still went just over 30bu/ac. 5030 and 5770 were about 5 bu/ac less. All swathed and combined quite well, 5030 was a little taller and easier to cut but had to leave very tall stuble.

west central alberta roundup ready and invigors all in the 50-60 range. my LL130 did 64 LL5440 55 and LL150 50. wouldn't recommend the 150 as yeild was lower and really tough to swath and combine. 130 was a dream.
The genetic potential of the 130 is exceptional. In the best part of the feild on a double fertilized strip (240-80-0-50) the yeild monitor was running over 90.

would agree on the 150. What a bear to cut and combine. In the plot i drove 30% slower with combine for less yield.

It is good to see yields hitting 60. Some of these new varieties with all three systems can give the potential for that and more if conditions are right. Told you so S/F lol. There were alot of 50's in areas west, south and east of N.B. this fall. Basicaly all areas that did not freeze at the end of May had the potential easily. Areas north west of here were fighting extreemly dry condtions and poor germ cuasing late crop stands and higher green counts due to swathing timing and excessive heat afterwards. Most late canola from St. wahlberg east to Spiritwood has severe frost damage from two weeks ago - standing canola that got hit with -8 to -10 temps.
We ended up in the low 40's ave, with the resseded stuff slightly better but 1.5 to 3% green. Should have enough good canola to mix out. ADM in Lloyd is rejecting loads daily now due to high green counts.

Number 2 is 2 to 6% so maybe they are accepting only 1 and 2
