He is right that it varies between drills. We did some experimenting with our drill this year on one field. Most of the field is seeded at 7 mph, but we did some side by side with 6 and 5 mph. Just seeded a couple of days ago into a loam soil.
I suspect that with the Pillar Lasers disc openers we are using, we won't see huge differences in emergence, but we'll know for sure one way or another in a week or so.
