    How do your crops look?

Just curious how crops are progressing in different parts of western canada.

Around brandon it has rained over 12" so far since april 1, it started out wet and after a large dump near the end of may the crops looked pretty poor. Since then the rains have slowed down a bit and allowed some of the crops to recover. Early seeded spring wheat looks as good as it ever has, canola, peas, flax around brandon if it is on good land is starting to look real good.

The crops other then early seeded spring wheat and canola on flax ground look poor.

How are the crops looking in your area?

    Canola, 25% excellent, 25% good/ave, 25% not so good, 25% garbage.
Wht about 50/50, peas are 90% v/good, lentils look o.k. Not enough other crops to rate at this point. Crop disease and wht midge major concern here with good crops. Poor/late crops have a date with jack frost. Like everywhere, we need more than 1 1/2 days sun-heat at a time.
