I was wondering how often everyone changes thier seed to certified seed? For what reasons,vigor,contamination, variety change? How much do you change at a time, all farm or only enough to grow seed for comming year?

Most guys I know use bin run seed but mine is getting contaminated and old (just like me) I need to change . What is the value of buying cert over one or two year off cert from neighbour? Provided it is clean good seed.

Buy certified seed and keep what you take off of that one crop for the next three years. Don't use the seed from the previous year, that's how your off-types and weeds build up. If you have a three year supply that is one generation off certified you should always have consistency.
