If you are using Outlook Express...Go to tools/options and go to the security tab. Uncheck the line that says 'do not allow outlook express to open potentially dangerous attachments' or similar dialog. Many of the new installations have this security measure ticked by default to protect people from viruses and worms or whatever. However they do restrict you from opening 'most' attachments.
After you press 'apply' and 'okay' you will be able to open attachments. Be careful what you open altho' McAfee SHOULD be able to catch bad viruses if you have kept your definitions uptodate.

    Hope this helps.

For anyone using Outlook 2000 or higher on an XP OS, for their mail program, there is a utility called Detachxp.exe. This will then allow .exe files to be received. Trick is no one can email this to you as it is an .exe. ZIP it first.
