Sf3 - How much NH3 are you putting down to believe that you're harming the seed with a master or a hawk?

The seedhawk and seedmaster have the fert knife only about 1" away from the seed. The mid-row banders are 5" or 6" away, depending on spacing.

If you have to do a lot of turning the bourgaults narrower frame may hold spacing better also. Seedhawk and seedmaster have such a deep frame so when going around something the rows come together and space apart more. Also may need to go around in a certain direction as the fert. row will come closer to the seed in I believe a left turn. Get what you pay for I guess.

Sask. I got 60,000 actual cash value when trading my 64' 12.5 space 5710 1999 model without tank. Midrow shank, without second air kit or anhydrous. I kept the anhydrous and tank when I bought the Seedmaster. That was just last year. You really need to shop around.

Why are there so many used seedmasters for sale in the papers?

I do not doubt they do a good job but...

I have mid row banders on 12 inch spacing. Has anyone else experienced slow root growth to the N? I put 100 lbs on my wheat, and it was yellowish until shot blade stage, and I feel strongly it has affected yield potential. I am considering going with the atom jet 3 inch seperation opener for next year. What a waste of potential ,and a waste of money on nitrogen. My neighbor seeded canola for me last year, and I saw the same thing then. The weeds between the rows were healthy and strong, but the crop suufered until it grew into the band. I think it has been costing me yield potential... My supplier mentioned he has heard this alot this year especially from the mid-row boys.
Soil conditions? I think three inch seperation is enough, yet close enough to EACH row to have the desired effect...

Man this sites clock is messed up.

Funny i caught you free wheat.

I switched out of a granular midrow this year to a atom jet side band..... off the map difference.

                Live and learn.

Tell me more cotton! I feel like I've lost 20 bushels an acre because of n defficiency. What sucks is that I put more on than some of my neighbors who have greener crops than me.

Actually I never had a problem with the midrow banders on my 5710 12.5 space crop usually greened up early with the anhydrous which maybe moves a bit further in the soil than 46.
Would I be stupid to say I think we are on India time zone. Is agraville outsoursed to india? hahaha
