              cp, I'd suggest posting your question under the Crop Production & Forage forum. There are experienced production people there that never look at the marketing forum. Can you imagine producers that never look at the largest, most important, most imformative, most challenging, most invigorating, most thought-provoking, most debated, most. . . . well, you get my drift . . . . forum on Agri-ville?

                  Too much rain plus abundant available fertilizer plus heat plus wind...means even more lodging. Some varieties of oats worse than others.

                  Been there...done that.

                  Next year, check your varieties attributes.
