Three buyers have put up what they're looking for right now, in case anyone's sitting on these:
- Grain Millers: milling oats, organic or conventional, delivered to Yorkton; and human-consumption flax delivered to Delisle, November through March.
- Newco Grain Exchange (Lethbridge): 48 lb dry barley for quick movement, and any class of feed wheat.
- Roquette: yellow peas, No. 2 conventional or organic, more volume for January, to Birtle or Portage.
It's on a free board I run: you put up a load (crop, grade, tonnes, nearest town), it goes to buyers within reach, they bid, and you pick one or none and deal with them directly. No fee, and your farm's name isn't on the board. Each buyer shows whether it's on the Grain Commission's licence list, so you know about payment protection before you sell.
