    Saskatchewan Farmland Values Discussion

Saskatchewan farmland values are showing a distinct split market as appreciation slows to 2.6% while total dollar inventory surges by 92% alongside the massive Monette land package.

In this edition of The Trent Klarenbach Podcast, Trent welcomes back Tim Hammond, P.Ag., from Hammond Realty to break down the latest trends in Saskatchewan farmland values.

Building on last year’s widely viewed discussion, Tim shares on-the-ground insights into market momentum, shifting supply dynamics, and the contrast between cropland and pasture values across Western Canada.

The conversation dives deep into the economic drivers behind the land market, comparing Canadian and U.S. affordability indexes, analyzing the impact of interest rates, and examining how technical analysis applies to long-term farmland trends.

They also discuss major industry transitions, commodity price outlooks, and what lies ahead for farm succession over the next decade.

Your link didn't work for me.

The FCC chart of affordability is noteworthy.

Cheaper sask land in 2024 was 50% less affordable than expensive AB land.
And provinces are much more affordable than during the 80's.

And happy birthday a few days ago.
