Friday Crop Report on a Thursday middle of September.

690 moisture monitor has been within 0.1% regularly, but for one reason or another, it lied to me by 2.5 points. Thought Durum was under 17% and just about turned everything loose... Ran down to neighbors 919 and it was 19.3! Patience... Something i'm running low on.

Yield is above average for here, yet below everyone else's typical average. It *mostly* stood back up after the rain events. Stronghold has served me well here with high bushel weights in garbage years, and solid stem to keep things from falling flat on their face from sawfly. It generally weathers quite well, and did fine this year on everything that was high HVK, but the pieball REALLY shows up now. Hoping to salvage a 2 out of the remainder.

Off colour but luckily here , no sprouts , still a #2 what we done

Have tried a few handhelds. This one ia great, I calibrated against our 919 years ago, keep it in the combine and its been bang on everytime. Fill it flush and turn the lid till the button is flush. Just have to ocassionaly clean the threads of squished canola seeds with a knife.
