As a farmer is joining the EU a good idea?

More regulation, more paperwork ?

Does it force Canada to match their subsidies direct to farmers?

Since this was never talked about during an election , I think we will be the losers in these agreements , in Western Canada.

I don't see an upside other than losing more of the US market to the very countries Carney is pledging support of.

Dont know how many on here remember all the efforts that were put into pivoting to the EU because the USA closed the border to live cattle due to BSE.
There was a variety of attempts to access Europe because they were in the same boat, somehow making them our friends because that's where it came from.
Lots of money down the drain but you couldn't ship there unless the slaughter plant met all their regulatory condition that seemed to require new builds.
I'll just wrap by saying virtually no beef went and very little goes today.
Unbelievably, more comes this way with the CETA trade deal.

They are no way easier to trade with than about anywhere in the world.

Unfortunately with these Libtards in charge we are marching right along in step with the way Europe has devolved. Why u think Dons wanting us to become the 51st state. He’s sees the retard crowd running us into the gutter and he doesn’t want that as a neighbour. He sees the bigger picture with the ensuing chaos that is coming with mass immigration that is not in step with the values that built North America. Our country has decided to run to the very people we had to help in the last Great War. To me it makes no sense to piss off the only country that would actually come to our aid if need be. Europe and Great Britain in particular only see Canada as a place to gain access to cheaper resources. I’m really not sure what they have to offer us other than access to a population needing food but only taking it if we do it by their rules. Which are looney to a degree. Then this leads me to ask who are we working for then? Carneys acting like a tough guy with Don but then will sell us down the river to the EU because he doesn’t have a choice
