This is quite topical for me…………. Just had a bunch of rented land get the leases cancelled today as they’re building a data center on it. Brookfield, CPP, and Transalta are behind it.

If AF5 is worried about a gas plant being a target I’m in the bullseye………
gas plant on one side, two power plants on another, and now this data center on another. Gravel pits on the last side but doubt they’re much of a target

I live in the boonies but sure have a lot stuff going on in the backyard unfortunately…………. Not enthused about it

In the era of the ever shrinking microchip, seems ironic that data centers would require vast acres of land.

Reminds me of a joke I heard. Soviet propaganda used to brag that they had the biggest microchips.

They have 3 full sections zoned for it and we were renting 2 of those sections. It’s big enough……….. in our hills it’s mega dirt moving to make level ground.

The first stage is 230MW with a possibility of 1 GW. Called the boreal technology hub

              Society eh.

              The worlds passing me by.

But ya know is goings on in France actually a microcosm of society in 2026. Is France to far gone to maybe right the ship dunno.

Shouldn't post this stuff here but not going over to chucks forum can argue respectfully this side.

Data centre locally despite saying wont expand they are buying neighbouring farms, one to expand or two its a way head of complaints by having a huge huge buffer zone or three buffer zone for privacy secrecy

My daughter is living in Paris she said the kids didn't like that they had no air conditioning or heat in some of the schools so they burnt them down. They also didn't like having to go 4 days a week 9 to 5. She said the radicals were not white French kids that did that. I guess they can get home schooled via internet now in there country of origin if they are allowed back

Yes my daughter was in Rouen at an international business collage .
France is a train wreck of a society now , French culture decimated, she thought it was so sad .

Isn’t it crazy? The French are the most adamant about preserving their, “ distinct society” and look what happened in their homeland, so ironic!
