I wouldn't expect Mosaic's Vise President of Public Affairs to say anything but shortage, shortage, shortage. This is the same company that got the US treasury department to put a tarrif on phosphate imports in 2021.
That short was clipped from the full video below. The Mosaic guy starts a 4:30.
Maybe U.S. should not start a trade war with their main K supplier.
The difference is the U.S. has more options to replace Canadian potash than we have to replace U.S. phosphate. Canada produces lots of potash but very little phosphate. We can buy phosphate elsewhere, like Morocco, but it won't be as cheap or easy to get here. We're probably more vulnerable on P than they are on K.
