Which grain companies support the single desk?

The other thread is too long and off the beaten track; however, it did raise an important question.

For grain companies: Who lobbies on behalf of the single desk to politicians in Ottawa? Not just now, but over the past 10 years.

    Do farmers know?

Tom - Don't know about grain companies BUT In Manitoba you can certainly add KAP to the list of sociallist lobby groups.

            Parsley,

CDN Millers have been quite vocal in their support for the CWB... as has Canada Malt. ADM certainly comes to mind as one who the CWB has strongly supported and helped to consolidate in Canada.

              Final Jeopardy:

Would you change your business relationship if you knew the grain company you were dealing with was lobbying for the single desk?

Probably all of them have lobbied for the single desk with one main voice, so that leaves little alternative for a choice marketer other than exporting out of the country, if he's totally ticked off.

Hey, Maybe these companies will choose to NOT do business with choice marketers!

The NFU-type farmers have such a good fit with those single-desk supporting companies, they will probably work in tandem nicely.

Here is another "Jeopardy" question for Parsley:

Chaffmeister regularly participates in these threads under at least two other names.

The answer is: ___________ and _________

Now, Cue in the Jeopardy music...

Don't know if he has other names or not, but I can guarantee that one of them is NOT incognito.
