G3 Equity

Awhile back the topic of G3 equity came up, particularly when you could get paid out. There's two ways to get paid out, i.e. turning 75 years old or dying. Since I recently qualified I applied and received the attached e-mail. Looks like I'm out of luck, and probably anybody else as well.

So euphoric over the ridding of the CWB , someone forgot to ensure farmers interests were still at the top of the list.

Of the 4 different grain buyers we haul to or can haul to G3 gets 80% or better because of price and delivery options. The spread on wheat or canola is not uncommon to be .50 bu or more. Guess we are getting the dividends up front. And the rest you use for wallpaper.

Our local G3 quit being competitive with grain prices 2 years ago. At the moment, their Sept. delivery wheat price is 48 cents below the local Richardson, and 20 cents less than Bunge.
They used to always bid at a premium to the competition. I wonder what changed?

Always wondered what Ritz got out of it when he sold to SA so cheap and gave them full access to Canadian grain markets and ports.

When you get your next G3 Equity Trust statement wipe your ass with it and mail it back to them.
That might get some attention.
I thought delivering to G3 would have been as good as delivering to Weyburn Inland Terminal where you could gain equity in the GrainCo(albeit their shares were traded OTC and not real liquid..... but there was REAL value).

That fund will be diluted to near zero and fold, the Trustees will be the beneficiaries of it because of their administration fees.
