I can see compaction problems from seeding in the mud. Spray problems on double sprayed liberty, variety differences this year, etc etc. it’s a funny year, snow late seeding, 8 inches in June then July 10 th the tap turns off and heat turns to insane, August arrives and cold misty high humidity and piss all for real moisture. That’s the season so far.

Not impressed with our double sprayed Liberty we jumped the gun on second pass now we pay again. 25mm of rain last night good for the beans.

We covered the silage pit last night. Last year we put 125 loads in the pit off of 135 acres. This year 155 loads off 120 acres so very thankful. Last year was all soft white wheat, this year was a mix of some Esma barley, a bit of oats and the rest soft white wheat. Wheat yielded the best, oats the worst. We use an 18 foot Artex high dump.
We got lucky with rain getting anywhere from 1 inch to 2.3 in the last week after getting very little in the previous 4 weeks. Was late for early seeded crops, will help the rest. Will help the pastures immensely.

Nice beans!
Any reason to grow Canola?
How much residual N do you presume you get from a bean crop like that?
