Friday Crop Report on a Thursday middle of July!

Anyone locking up some urea now that this war is heating up again? What are guys seeing for spring pickup?

We booked 80% of our 28 for ‘27 the other day
right , wrong or otherwise we thought given alll the situation, it may be the lowest .

Ctv news say 300,000 acres flooded in manitoba. Crop lost.
is that an accurate number?

Will be at least that in each province

Today's heat and wind are taking a toll. The last rain was two weeks ago on Wednesday.
Also southern Sask had three days at over 30 last week and another three this weekend. That's not gaining grain.

Flooded fields dont need rain till Oct 1st.
darn good thing it's not harvest time now.

We are good for moisture till after harvest. Water table is so high that flooded areas aren’t disappearing. Hopefully in 6 weeks ground is dry enough for combined.

I think this past 14 days rain map is fairly accurate by comments on here, and radar storm tracking lately

This is nearly exactly what Prichard with Nutriens “Canadian Prairie Weather Story” said would happen 2 weeks ago on his weekly YouTube channel
I believe he did say the biggest chance of rain / storms would be north along hwy 16 corridor, and parts of Manitoba

Basically north of the heat dome , along the jet stream .

his latest one this past week shows a moderation for the next 10 -14 days for everyone
time will tell , hopefully he is right again

Canola running out of gas here. Bottom pods are a couple inches longer than the width of my hand. Above that is a different story. Blanks to short. Still forming so let’s hope it gets better. Looked across the road and nothing for pods. Seeded same time. Different variety maybe.
