While supposedly superior quality CWRS fetches $8.88 (best bid locally) for 13.5% protein. This elevator does not deduct currently for protein under 13.5%. Mine was 13.2 on the loads shipped on Monday.

Discount for winter wheat in Canada continues, would help farmers rotations if better market signals were evident.

Russia and Ukraine going at each others ports.
the real potential market mover isn’t even in the news. Ukraine keeps sending drones at Russia’s oil production. Massive fuel shortages in Russia. Russian farmers have some fuel on hand for harvest but trucks are already lined up waiting for fuel, some days not getting any.. they say oil shortage is getting worse as time goes on. They think truck might not move at all after harvest

I am seriously considering switching some durum acres to wheat next year. tired of the grading issues in general.

$8.80? I can only dream. You guys must be way closer to port than we are around here. Our spot price this morning is $8.22. October delivery is $8.14.
