Lentils on this heavy ground are a yellow mess. This heat is showing the root rot through the canopy.

Planes , choppers , drones going all over
We were just getting in decent shape for ground rigs before Wednesday night storms
Goin now this morning but on verge of too wet
Still not nearly as bad as other huge areas and thankful for that for now
A few more drown out spots but again not the disaster like in many areas

pulse crops going backwards fast all over here
the only decent ones left were the ones seeded before May 14 th . But even they are sliding backwards now

Brown spots in fields continue to get bigger and all the standing water don't smell so good corn looks like it handled the rain the best. Pastures are quad only and I think footrot will show up soon enough once we get a few hot days.

Reality: the canola file shipped out of country is close to 9 mill mt. Crush is 12.5, so basically I’m right: we are running on fumes; that’s why the $18 are popping up. They lied about carryover and massive crops.

Don’t they always. They sell it for as long as possible. Once they are close to out price goes up.
Can sell old crop oats for new crop now. Must be be a lot acres that are gone.

Spraying fungicide on wheat today. The wheat that did not drown out looks good.

Past 90 day precipitation map. Grasshoppers really bad this year in the local drought, not so extreme at my place but others across the river are describing ‘plague levels’. Trying to get the hay cut before they grasshoppers get it.

2 different worlds. One side on fire burning up and the other drowning looking for a life raft. Not sure what’s worse anymore. Was on your side of it the last 5 -6 years

We had a pretty good hatch of hoppers before the rain started but I don't think they are very good swimmers. Might be washed into lake manitoba by now nothing more than fish food.
