July 5 storms

Strange storm.
Started thundering continuously at about 830 and never stopped till after 10.
Only rained for maybe 45 min of that.
Don't see any damage but the power is still off.
Have the standby going to keep the fence and the water on for the livestock. Can't sleep if I know the fence is off.

Bad karma to talk about it but so far we have been lucky to miss much of the real shit in a small area here.
10 minutes away they had 8 inches about a week ago.

Yesterday we had nice shade on our deck and after a hot day you could sit in the shade with a breeze blowing through and enjoy a cold beer.
Got up this morning and it’s all changed!
All our buildings survived thank goodness.
A lot of yards and buildings got trashed last night!

Major crop, bin and building damage south and west of Carrot River through Arborfield, Zenon Park and Alysham. Major damage at Pasquia Park. Many destroyed campers and vehicles from fallen trees. Heard AgWorld in Kinistino lost a building.

Vast amounts of damage all across the parkland from Saturday
we missed that whole episode this time thankfully

Afsc got one day off without a claimable event.

The destruction is unbelievable.
Miles of crop pounded into dust.
Flood water everywhere.
Whole rows of trees up rooted.
Shops and buildings blown apart.
Grain bins knocked over in almost every yard.
The grain bins that the wind couldn’t blow over it caved in the sides.
Power lines and poles destroyed. We were without power for 45 hours.
About a 20 mile wide swath starting in the Kinistino area it went east through Alysham then on to Pasquia Park. I think I got stronger as it went east

The amount of destruction from that storm is mind boggling. Some loss most of their crop to hail along with bins and machinery damage from their sheds getting flattened.
