Funds are Long the Grain & Oilseed Complex 1st Time Since Feb 2025! BULLISH PRICES

The funds (managed money) crowd/spec are now net long the grain complex! The AI King Nvidia reported 4th quarter earnings that surpassed Wallstreet estimates but the stock falls? Trump retaliates against U.S. supreme court decision to impose an additional 15% global tariff. FDN (First Day Notice) and month end fund selling in March futures were absent in 2026. Crude oil futures adding more geo-politics, weather turns more active for March, plus South America weather and the latest CFTC report.

Will Trump strike Iran and add more fuel on the fire on crude oil prices? Are you rewarding the rally in in wheat/soybeans/canola?

What wheat rally? Prices have been depressed in mid point Sask as GrainCos clean grain out of areas closer to port. For the longest time wheat struggled to keep its head above $7 here. Wheat prices have been falling for the last 3 years.
Has anyone looked at the price of urea lately? This attack on Iran could push it up further yet.... seven dollar wheat?!?!?!?!

            Distance to port isn't kind.
Even here we've cut wheat acres to a minimum. Took a younger labor force tho lol. Futures are up KS since fall. MN hardly usable. Might be time to lift spreads on fall sales tho.
Basis and freight rates are another matter. How many even talk about that?
Fert looking like a perfect storm this spring. Ugly. I don't know why completely but 29 years out of 30, buy that shit in the fall.
War should help commodities a little. Sweep the floor in May and start new crop sales hopefully plays out again.

Sold my first wheat this morning at $8.00, have a few more targets above that if this war goes south. Basis is already set so don’t have worry about that.
