Moisture past 90 days

May , June and July tell the tale but interesting to see mid winter past 90 days.
Heavy snow across the parkland forecast, and needed especially across the north

This is the best time of the year to have a drought, but it is worrysome

About 1/2 western Canada still close to average over the past 90 days according to this other than southern Manitoba

I'll definitely take 25°C above normal in Jan/Feb than June/July. Snow is nice to see but doesn't add much to the yield at the end of the day. Definitely strange to see it totally brown in mid Feb. We have alright subsoil moisture, and definitely more than the past 4-5 years. Like you said, May-June-July will tell the tale. The trend is not our friend right now.

Soil moisture in our area is definitely better than the past 4-5 years as well .
We are sitting about normal for snow , but it’s settled a lot the past two weeks
most snowfall so far is NW of here in this system, which is good cause it was a terribly dry year last year with yields way below average in that area .
Definitely need a recharge in lakes and rivers north of here . Water levels were very low in the north the past few years

Subsoil moisture in my area is very short. If it stayed like this we would have crops stressed for moisture by Mothers Day around here, and I'd be hauling water for cows. I remain cautiously optimistic, but sure hoping for some snow for dugouts.
