A reality check considering all the misleading information out there regarding Chinese EV imports.
As a reminder, the tariff rate quota (at 6.1%) is 49,000 units. Considering this history, the cold climate and the resulting failure of the technology to be widely adopted - to suggest the EV market is even close to be considered in comparison to the canola industry is laughable at best.
Now that even those wanting to try the technology have realized the many pitfalls, it's hard to imagine imports of anywhere near the tariff rate quota limit.
Certainly not an issue worth risking any canola export sales over...
