Hahaha. Email the link and you’ll have to jump thru hoops to get any information. Non disclosure agreement. Proof of $20 million in funds or list of currently owned farmland/assets. Bunch of clowns.

Who can afford to buy parcels(bundles) of land worth $20M? Wouldn't auctioning every quarter by itself yeild better sale results? They should set reserves if they're concerned. They are severely limiting their list of potential buyers by how they package it.

Is the the first chink in the armor of Western Canadian Ag?

This is the BC Ranches that he had on the market as a package before Christmas.
        No takers,
Shortage of rich celebrities looking for trophy ranches in that local.
BC is not a real attractive place to be buying land with any proximity to Indian Bands.

This is different than the B.C. ranch land. Hammond was looking for buyers but u had to sign an nda. Heard last spring he was told to part with 100,000 acres.

I think they have extended the bidding. Looks like he is stripping the gains off and wants to lease it back.

Hopefully the native land claim dilemma is limited to BC.

Historically the mega farm in western canada has not lasted. This is due to the extreme weather we normally get. This last go round of farm consolidation has been the strongest because of the unprecedented amount of money printing that has happened since 2008 recession. I have read a book on Charles Noble who farmed 30000 acres by 1928. Town of Nobleford, Alberta named after him. Not much exists of this operation today. However, what goes up must come down.
