He's probably too busy doing very important CWB work. You know like cheering on Adrian Measner in Ontario.

He doesn't have time to talk(or listen by the way) to farmers.

Do you guys have to be so darned sadistic? Just because the "so-called plebicite" went your way, do you have to "rub it in"?

Talk about...ornery, you guys take the cake.

All I can say is that I am glad to say that I live in a democracy. Too bad that the pro CWB supporters & the CWB won't abide by the results. I wonder how much of the farmer's money is going to be wasted by the board in fighting the democratic choice of the producers.

Just curious as to why the results of the plebiscite is not considered an opportunity rather than a death sentence (or in your words rubbing it in).

The contracts that the CWB has on the books with the domestic maltsters for 2007/08 more than justify the $237/tonne (port) 2 row malt barley price (same comment 6 row). It is in everyones best interests to ensure performance on these contracts.

There will be a malt barley demand vacuum in Asia off the combine this fall ahead of Aussie harvest and Canada should be in a good position to fill this opportunity at high prices. This to me promises early movement off the combine.

All this suggests that the CWB needs to start working with its partners (farmers, processors, exporters) in creating marketing opportunities starting in August.

Snapper: I'm no dirt poor, beer drinking, lazy 7 day a week curler farmer as yourself.

I run trading positions on most commodity exchanges, and trade equities on the the stock markets, been doing so for 15 years.

I have canola and bean postions out to fall 2008 on the books.

I'm just fine on the futures markets, learned them in university many years ago, but learned much more working in the trade. I maintain good relationships with Pioneer, Agricore, Agripro/swp, cargill and p&H staff. Call them all the time, making deals.

I've being buying land for 25 years, and continue to do so. I'm Looking forward to buy yours from under your feet. I'll Send you to the oilfields, it will be the first time you'll actually learn what hard work is, and how to earn a dollar, instead of sledding all winter.

                    glug glug glug.
