Well, wow, the year of the tenth sure did surprise me, but for the first time in years, we are done harvesting south on Tuesday and finishing up helping north last night.
The extra acres kept us a couple of days later than most, but north of us, lots were still out. Hopefully, they will beat the snow coming on Sunday.
Carney goes to Washington and comes home with nothing again.
China beats the shit out of us on peas and Canola and not a word for weeks on the Tariffs caused by a fake non-existent EV car industry. Now most automotive companies will move back to the USA. Doug Ford was played.
Crop Report.
HRS and Durum WHEAT YIELD normal yield. Quality is great on the early harvest crop, but downgraded on later ones.
Barley yields great in early seeded made malt, and later-seeded had a bit lower yield.
Peas and lentils had a great yield. Our biggest pea crop by far on acres seeded.
Flax yields lower with the best at 30 worst at 5.
Canola is simply the early seeded was lower than normal by quite a bit but as the seeding date was later the yields went up. The last 3000 acres for us were normal yield. I'm still sticking with 20.6 mt as reports from big hitting area are not as high as first thought. North is lower than normal and only a few areas are above.
Canary yoeld lower than normal.
Total rainfall growing season may 1 to Aug 1 is 4 inches in nothing more than a 1/2 to 3/4 largest rain. The Rest was tenths.
Since August 3.25 inches almost same.
We are year four using crop Aid and a few other things something is happening for sure in our souls. Might not need the sub spoiler.
Fungicides were used on all crops in 2025 but some experiments with half and 3/4 rates but we used foliars on all.
Humic acid procoat Fert applied experiment and drop of 25 lbs acre S 15 had similar yields. Spray on humic with drop of S 15 not as good three less.
We experiment lots some sections have up to 4 different fungicides. Some surprises.
Why do the same thing over and over and expect a different result?
