    Tire damage

Anyone have a deer horn or sharp object puncture a tractor or combine tire?
Does any type of insurance cover it?
    Price on a 1100 tire is $14,000..

Had it happen lots. No idea about insurance for that. Would assume no. But if tire was wrecked because of fire, would assume yes. If you catch it before the tire is wrecked, tire guy can put a boot plug in, one for every hole of the antler. Had this on my liquid cart, big antler with 4 pokes right in on a turf tire, boots even were overlapping, he wasn’t sure it would last. It’s been about 10 years now and that tire is still perfectly holding air on the cart. Have even used automotive plug kit on a tractor tire for an antler, put two plugs in the same hole, still good today.

Had a whitetail antler go thru in 3 places on air seeder tire. All they did was patch them. Not a minutes trouble since.

Yeah these tires run such low air pressure it is pretty easy to get a plug and glue to hold.

Back tire on a tubeless tractor tire I folded over three pieces of a rubber tarp strap coated with glue and used it like a tire plug, did leak slowly so I added a gallon of tire goop and the leak stopped completely, probably 8 years ago.
