deere hdr reel not clearing crop divider

Demoing a 2024 deere HD45R header and follows the ground well, but seems to have 2 major flaws.

    1. The reel sits about 10” in from the crop dividers and will not clean off lodged crop that gets caught on the crop dividers. Looked at Macdon FD2 and the reel is 3” from crop dividers.

Any kits or add ons to the deere reel to reach out closer to the crop dividers? Is the new 3 piece reel closer to the crop dividers on the ends.

    2. The center d****r stalls easy. Seems any dust packs in when driving between fields and the center d****r won’t turn when firing up at the next field. Is this the way they are or something wrong with the demo? Center d****r tension looks to be correct.

Never had that centre canvas problem but when it gets tough late at night the catching on The side is time to quit.

Have had the center canvas issue on our hd45f in dry conditions most notably in peas.
Had a chance to demo the new triple reel on a HD45d in some challenging irrigated barley on some rolling hilly ground a couple weeks back, my son who's being running the machine felt he was able to do a better job with it than with the flex he didn't have the f in flex and right on the ground though as I am real careful about rolling where's there's rocks but I don't have a ton of faith in the geometry of the rock trap to feed accelerator after running 9s since. 22 and have had rocks get in.
The demo was a Deere owned 25 MY and had the long removable dividers that sit farther foward. Think we'd order a new header with them as we had no issues.

Best pic of the dividers we had.

Because of the lodged barley straw getting bunched up on the divider and the reel not pulling it in, I am worried that lodged canola will just pile up on the crop divider.

It has been a few years since I have had lodged crops.

Those with lodged canola and experience straight cutting it does the deere HDR header clear the end crop dividers or do I need the canola cutters on the end?

Most you tube videos show end cutters on deere headers cutting canola in Canada. Maybe they are needed?

Can't help you on newer headers.
But I don't recall seeing roto shears on combines in years here.
I simply thought new designs had made them obsolete?
