Good morning, the harvest is 20% done.
In our area, it's going field by field not ready to sit, ready to go hard.
It rained 1/3 of an inch on most of the farm last night but the driest area was our yard had a 1/10.
Cold temps from Wadena down to Weyburn. It's a dry belt this year and guess what? It will always be a freeze in those areas first.
Carney still can't spell Canola but another Trudesu cluster **** EV battery plant is bankrupt before even being built. Quebec out 500 million. I guess they will need more transfer money now.
Crop report.
Hrs and durum harvest is taking place. Yields are down about 10 bpa from normal yields. We are a dry area this year. Quality Good.
Lentils and peas are 99% done only one field left. Yields on pulses are excellent in our area. New varieties shone.
Barley harvest, the early seeded are done but the later ones are just getting going. Real late green feed etc is hurt by cooler temps.
Flax is turning with some fields awful and some ok. Yield way down.
Canary seed is the same.
Canola a few are starting to harvest yield is down and some are down really hard. A big surprise will be the final total. All early seeded the shits later looks ok and the dog ****ers win big till it freezes. The market and elevator companies got it wrong. If you had 25 last year and have 45 be happy if you are used to 70 and get 40 or less in big Canola areas it's not the same. Math is fun some should use or take grade 10 again.
Hail took out prime crops at Russel Manitoba and Benito.
Pastures need more rainand new hay fields keep growing. Old fields need to be ripped up and reseeded.
Cattle up and grain in a nose dive. Maybe wheat needs to go 5 and canola 10.
One land sale to a guy who really doesn't farm I think the peak has hit and the drop could be really steep.
Tell us about yourself area.
Oh here is my total production estimate.
Canola down from last year with less acres and the north and east crop down.
Hrs down from last year same reason, big yielding areas not doing it.
Durum up, lots grew it shd its a dry land crop.
Flax down.
Canary down
Lentils way up.
Peas way up.
Barley up.
Oats down.
Have a great weekend and close the shed doors today 80 km should **** up lots if shit.
