We tried to buy out some CPS cause we knew full well the crop was pooched by mid July , they intentionally drug their feet till it cost us double 4 weeks later .
thankfully we did not contract a huge amount but still writing cheques to line companies just about broke many farms
There some some comments on here about to bad so sad , I wonder if that opinion still holds true now that the tables have turned??
I highly doubt its the big line companies calling guys trying to renegotiate contracted prices on lentils

Delivering on a 50 cent lentil contract would be the highlight of this marketing yr?

The company contracting is taking a monster risk when guaranteeing 50-60-70 cents a year out. High prices spell lots of acres and the probability of overproduction. Foreign buyers aren’t dumb. They know that lentils are worth closer to 20 cents than 55 cents. They dance from their contracts and tell us to pound sand. They are only willing to pay twenty cents.

            Anecdotal drivel:

Do they "honor" the contracts they signed in rapidly rising markets?

"Honor" being the key word... some ethnicities have little to start with.
