Processors and graincos that have doubled their basis in the last year are probably not out that much.

Maybe when the Chinese government sees their investments in operations here and what they get paid for canola versus what they pay for canola , is that the stumbling block?

The sad reality is that we need farmers to all feel the financial stress to put the brakes on the bubble we have been in. It’s the only way that out of control seed, fertilizer, chem, equipment, and rent will be reigned in and ensure profitability in the future.

Talking to lenders , their solution seems to be to access the net worth of the farm ie sell some of my revenue generating land base.

Seems like a good idea until you realize the next generation can not afford to buy it or have a chance to farm.
