This is simply a reaction to the EV tariffs the liberals imposed.
Everything else is just deflection and excuses

Yes but why is it always hitting the farmers?

Because the industry as a whole has stayed near silent on these issues
there needs to be a delegation from all Ag industries go to Ottawa as one group , in the same room with the Fed Ag minister and demand a resolution
they all have their own little lobbying interests but now is the time to do what’s in the best interest of us , the farmers , the ones who keep their lights on

Again. If we drop the ev tariffs
. Whats the incentive for china to drop the canola tariff? They just destroyed the price and then can buy ours cheap or from other countries.

Lets say we drop the ev tariff.

What would trump do to our grain tariffs after that?
i would love to see potash tariffs thrown on... and urea..
.maybe Then we may see some.fert prices drop.

            The ratio
For corn vs urea price is currently the worst in history... so something has to give. Unfortunately with direct to farm subsidies in the US it softens that blow for farmers and artificially raises the market for everything.

Not sure exactly what happens over the next 6 months... will a stop in the war plummet prices even more?
will china come back to canadian canola market?

It may be time to have a long and very serious look at costs on farm and most importantly... rent values.

ive already had 2 discussions with land owners and we are going to be decreasing rent ( win!) Next yr. I was very surprised that they were open to an adjustment... not alot but from 85 down to 80. Helps a guy a bit!

Agree , but the canola tariff was a direct result of the liberal EV tariff to start with
your right , maybe nothing happens but sitting back and continuing to take it on the chin is not right either

I love that the MPs or farm lobby groups go to certain farms and accomplish nothing that cheerlead this or that. It is becoming obvious they haven't got an IQ over 50 as there hasn't been any resolution or solutions put forward since this started over a year ago.

While they all say they are working on it , why is Moe only now starting to do press about it.

There was no panic last labor day , all of a sudden there is a panic.

Politician leaders all over the world are the problem.
is any country happy with their leaders?
it's all about money in their own pockets.
