    Sure did. It was me!
and there willl be a correction. I just got a msg from our independent.. sulphur fines jist dropped 25$/ mT from yesterday . Nh3 is a hot mess though.
    and heres my question.

    China plays this game.. repeatedly.
Does anyone here actually believe that if canada dropped tariffs on BYD evs...that they would lift canola tariffs?

Look at their history of canola tariffs. They do this to plummet the price down.

And, on the other side, if we dropped tariffs on chinese evs...
what do you think trump would do to our tariffs?

We have to put out 1 fire at a time and china is not a fire we can remotely touch... they will continue to tariff canadian canola..every yr. Regardless of whether we buy their evs... their fighter jets.... or use their 5g ...6g.. 7g tech.

    you know this.
    i know this.

Just start being prepared when this happens and lets all stop clutching our pearls when it does.

I wouldn't worry I'm sure China and Saudi Gov't have worked out something to support Canadian Farmers might have Bungy on board. Likely sitting down with the WGEA and Wheat Growers already now that they are also running Grain Growers too. All working out as planned.

More people have suffered starvation from politics than any other factor by far.
Shaping up for another cycle of farm consolidations.

As I said before the fertilizer price historically followed the price of corn. Corn has hovered in the low to mid $4 range and is now under $4 after the latest USDA report. Fertilizer has it would appear decided to go it’s own way. Unless the price moderates there will definitely be less purchased on both sides of the border.

I do agree GG847 that removing the EV tariffs would be of little benefit as China would just find another excuse to push down our canola price.

China is saying it is because Canada is dumping Canola at a lower price. What is the actual price we sell at? Is there any truth to it? Are farmers asking for the facts and figures first? Retaliation for EV tariff is just an assumption on timing without facts.
