Hearing some early pea yields are not great! Any one harvesting?

The golf course we played today at Emerald Park needs a good rain really soon. Moisture is getting in short supply.
I don't believe Environment Canada or Drew that we are in for a major rain event this week. Tomorrow morning it will be pushed back to Friday or sat.

SF, you must have a direct line to the big guy. Aspen Links at Emerald
must have got close to an inch, east of White City over an inch. The lentils around here don’t need rain now. One guy was taking his combine to the field today. Another BTO was starting probably Friday. Not Now. Some 3 inch shots reported south near Wascana Creek.

More like 14mmt if lucky. Parkland (canola belt) is suffering as well as central Alberta corridor. I call bullshit on 17.5 mmt. See enough rough crops along hwy 16 which is a heavy canola production area. Granted there’s pockets of good crops but the shitty ones outweigh. The trade is wishful thinking a good yield into reality. Pretty much north of hwy16 rm’s and counties are calling agricultural states of emergency while at the same time that tub of bullshit will be making a crop tour claiming big yields.

It’s been brutal here in the nw. We’ve been sorta lucky getting a few showers here and there. Crops might be a bit better than last years calamity but also had hail last year. North of here and past the river it’s a wreck. Rm of Frenchman Butte just declared a disaster. Our hay and pastures are shot. If I didn’t rest a bunch of native grass for a couple years I’d be screwed. Some guys are turning cattle into crop already. I figured a drought was coming several years ago and cut back numbers, and I’m glad I did.

Saw a grain company text sent today that said Alberta and Manitoba have their best canola crop in years. Thought my oats maybe had some decent potential but the last few days they’ve really turned and checking heads I think lots are not going to even completely fill. Was supposed to be rain yesterday and was more fake news, saying Friday Saturday now 90 percent for an inch or 2 but I think it’ll be too late for any bring but filling the canola, if it even happens.
