I tend to think the same way but BTOs here seem to defy logic. One 18000 ac operation here said as long as they can net 50 an acre they are happy. They buy new combines every year and all other every second. And keep adding more land. I am sure in ten years there won’t be many farms under 10000ac. And small towns are dying off with it.

Variability is well over 50 an acre here, government support seems to be what backstops this expansion. Glad my tax dollars help.

I am not sure why there will be a need for retails as that happens. Why not deal direct with the chem, fertilizer manufacturers?

What's the point of a nutrien or independent retail when the farms are larger?
