Same thing with cable companies. Don’t let them in your bank account, their billing is atrocious.

RB shud be jailed for all the bullshit fees they charge. My sales gonna be with a guy who does on site bidding. This hidden bidding is a license to steal. They will tell u the seller makes more money but in the end they make more and everyone in the industry gets screwed. And the buyer gets screwed by paying more and sometimes gets double screwed if the equipment they buy is a POS.

Plus they wont take honorable cheques. And still want 15%.

Online only has definitely killed open outcry.
Interesting, I had a chat with Machinery Pete this winter. He said the further south you go, the less online there is. He tracks farm equipment only.
Not sure if we're way ahead or have taken a wrong turn.

Got money e-transfer lost to one auction barn and took 4 hrs on a phone to a bank trouble shooter to find it. He commented that there system wasn't really that secured. Would have been quicker to just drive to town and write a check cause they do still take them. They do charge same fee as credit card if under a certain amount however.

Old-Fashioned auction a thing of the past but in olden days you could see who was bidding against you.

That guy could have been bidding for seller...auction always been a RISK.

Lots of buy backs happening. Saw an older semi an equipment jockey had listed go to auction. Auction price was half what he’d been asking. Low and behold semi is back in his yard.
