Drew had some nice maps drawn for our area but he missed the mark again. Seems like when it’s dry like this it takes a monster system to come in and cover the whole area with good rains. The predicted rain totals never get up to where they say because of the conditions we have had. Had we been wetter most likely would create more moisture to fall. Too bad we could have used an inch or more. What will be will be.

Ended up with more rain overnight up to an inch total now. Which is good as the first shot of 3/10 barely soaked in.

There’s no substitute for a long slow rain after seeding.

Very light rain all last night brought the gauge up to 6/10 over the weekend.
Will help the crop limb along for now.
If it gets hot it won’t take long to get back to struggling.

1.5 in since seeding. Wheat headed and short. No bumper crop here.

That would be considered a deluge here. 3 tenths from May 1st to June 21st . WE are just over an inch total since May 1st. Not sure how anyone with a university degree working in government thinks farmer can grow a crop or feed cattle with that. It is far from rocket science to do these calculations. Haven't hit the July heat.
