I don't see any large system "on the radar" that could give any more than a hour or two of showers.
Environment Canada just keeps putting up 2 days of rain?
Hope they are right and all others are wrong.

4/10 s of rain since may long weekend for us down here. Durum in the area with all the groceries thrown at it ( ? ) heading out at a foot tall. One row in the head , which means not too much of a crop in my opinion. Peas starting to bloom with hot weather , no rain , and a foot tall means we will get back seed , maybe? Some in our area turned yellow as they have run out of moisture.

Pastures are done, hay crops non existent in our area, little bit here and there in low spots or newer stands that caught some snow.

There is a reason why my RM ( Bigstick #141) declared a state of agricultural emergency.

To those that may get a crop of some sort.... You better be damn thankful mother nature's wrath gave you a pass.

Pictures from other posters with good to decent crops are of no value to those farmers getting the shitty end of the stick regarding the weather mother nature gives them.

Really what's the point of the pictures of good to decent crops, we all know there are many farmers suffering because of drought, why not be humble and thankful inside.

I hope Environment Canada isn’t all DEI hires. Every weekend they predict 1-3 days of rain and pfft. I would like to have a camera in the forecasting room.

Rained 1/10 to 1/4 inch out of nothing this morning prime the pump.

Drew took us out of rain on weekend other than the left overs fr the system. It looks like a penis.

Forage, is this not an open forum? A place where we can discuss what is happening in our little corner of the world? Yes, I am very thankful for the inch and a half of rain we have recieved this year. I can post pictures of where entire hilltops of our canola, flax, durum sprouted and died leaving a sunbaked clay hill. I can post pictures of our very thin hay crop that would make a row if we cut it with our 35ft header. Would that make you feel better?

A lot of us have been there , for some it’s extremely rare , we are most years , 7/10 short of decent timely rain with a few very dry . 1/10 we get those timely rains Areas like yours and west of you are in a very tough region and it must be frustrating . Hopefully you guys get good rains over weekend and are able to salvage something
there are areas here in NW Sask in same situation with still near zero rain since April and things are dire

Not like it’s any help to you G-5, but I have a slight idea of your pain. Late 80’s and early 90’s we had some very dry years and I took a vow that I would never complain about rain. There have been many occasions since I have had to bite my tongue. We have had excessive rains to the point of over 5 feet in one growing season and that can be no fun as well. I will say for me, however much trouble excess rain causes, it just doesn’t seem as depressing as a drought. Hope you get some rain, and soon.
