Does that mean dealers no longer have the auction relief valve they have had that was a significant part of what made it all work?
The ability to inflate inventory values made having all that inventory carried over appearing as an asset on the financial statement?
Are they still able to do that?

Reminds me of the housing bubble that burst in 2008

Word is that Mazers wanted to pull all the combines this is why the online bidding went down for a couple hours...then as if by magic started up again at 200k more.

Not saying it is fact...just what is going around.

Weird stuff happens at those sales...all the skidsteer attachments end up at the same price except for the ones I bid on and then the price keeps going up. same with all the Chinese mini skid steers and mini hoes.

One of those Mazers combines will be sitting in my yard in a week for $370k LESS, then what they were asking for it on the lot.
I did not notice any problems with the online bidding except how they sold 15 machines in one group which dragged out for a couple hours.

I had a good chat with someone who was at a New Holland training course this week . After that auction there is a fair amount of panic at the dealer level to say the least

With the two McDougall ag equipment sales coming up with lots of newer equipment, the Rouleau RB sale and many bigger farm sales I am thinking continued downward pressure on equipment prices through the end of July.
By August if the later crops get rain and improve (and grain prices don't collapse!!) there may be some optimism and equipment prices level out and maybe increase/recover a bit??
If low yields and/or quality issues for large area of western Canada again this crop year I think we could see a major correction/liquidation of both farms and dealers!!
