Grain Markets, Weather & Trump Tariffs, New U.S. Biofuel Policy Bullish

    Ag Commodity Corner+ podcast

The USDA June Crop Report was a non-event; U.S. weather remains wet through the end of June, and U.S.-China talks in London were a disappointment. All remain a headwind but higher 2026/27 U.S. biofuel mandates is bullish and a key catalyst for a 2025 summer grain market rally!

Tight stocks, strong demand and a pending drought in Western Canada has canola and spring wheat futures leading the grains complex. Strong cash, high cutouts, disease and lower weights/supplies causes the hog futures bullish momentum to accelerate.

Wow, that’s awesome, that will really help you.
That explains our hurricane-force winds today.

not in my area. 4/10s since spring thaw does not a crop make.

The dirty eighties we waited until mid July like in the 18 th or so before we saw rain, by then our crops were barely alive so I’d like to say I’m used to it but drought is my almost worst nightmare. Add to the equation grasshoppers and pocket gophers, why not? After watching some nice big cels coming from south of the border last night, I figured for sure the. thunder boomers would start after midnight but no that border just beat them back. Grumpy now.

Hello everyone? Thoughts on the NEW 26/26 US biofuel blending mandates? Crop Report - how's your local crops doing? Did you get rain this weekend?
