    What's normal? I dunno anymore.

If it's 50/50 with a 30bu crop then my generation is just going to have to give up. Landlords, let alone landowners, and for that matter outside investors think there's some serious capital to be made here! One neighbor has thrown in the towel (young guy), and everyone else is nearing collecting old age supplement...

One needs to survive to profitability and the other wants to be sure they can afford to die in dignity. A dilemma...

By and large I've left this place alone as 1) my problems are on the fringe, and 2) 4 kids, a self built house, and providing for the retirement of 5 other families is just about enough drama!

    Take care.

Driving by neighbours field , there’s a young guy on his knees poking around. Called the neighbour and asked what’s up. Agronomists out looking to tell him when to spray weeds. Need I say more.

If any advantage to two inches of dust on top its no weeds germinate.

It seems like everybody is making money off the farm, except the farmer!

Canola seeding almost done. Will not germinate until it rains.
