FRIDAY CROP REPORT on a Thursday week 2 may

Very cold for several hours now along hiway 3 north of here where seeding was done early .
A lot of canola up
-2 and -3 ‘s for a few hours now all along there
a few areas started freezing just after midnight

1.1 inches rain here now a little snow falling 2 degrees and some canola poking thru . Other side of province missed most of the rain and is still on fire . Fire crews called infrom Ontario and western Canada trying to contain the spread. Lots of guys still feeding cows now with some heat with rain we will have some grass.

Some places 8 c lower than forecast
Environmental Canada said 4c , was -4 c

Thermometer in the yard went to +1 but I noticed the tops of the alfalfa was all tip over.
Environment Canada forecast is -3 tonight.

Farmer from North west Sask on radio said they quit seeding until it rains. I think he said Leask area.
