It takes a lot of passes to paint this barren wasteland green. I dream of the day that self-operating tractors will be set up in NW corner of section and I can watch hockey until I get the beep that Big Ben is done the field. Someday….. it’s only 3 degrees here this morning despite the fact that daytime highs are pushing 30 degrees. Predictions of a rainy upcoming week are being pushed back. All this wind will surely bring a couple of inches of rain. I can only dream.

Memories : I was just telling the helper yesterday about olden days when we would be loading pails and bags into discer boxes in this wind - faces black with dirt and eyes full of fertilizer dust. Anyone remember those fun days? Clear sailing comrades.

Yesterday the controller for sectional control went down man you do waste in wet years with overlap.

The new BTO just ****ed a back road because he couldn't go around.

Neighbour seeds with a jd disc drill. Goes fast and grows good crops but a bit of a maintenance thing every two to three years. This year has a demo Aussie brand disc drill made over there by Boss equipment. They wanted to do a year of side by side with a Jd disc drill. He told me today it is 10 times better in every aspect. The owner of the company was here for a few days and they are in conversation every day. I will try to go and get some pictures and post.

1.30 spread on cwad to cwrs for Sept. . On 60bu/ac that’s 78 an acre. Most around here have switched to all durum. Me I’m too stubborn , or stupid I guess.
