Trade optimism offsets lower GDP, April Anxiety Lifted on Commodities and Stocks

    Ag Commodity+ Podcast

Trade optimism offsets lower GDP, April Anxiety Lifted as Commodities and Stocks trade above Liberation Day lows as they climb the wall of worry!

Possible trade talks with China and reports of a trade deal announcement by the end of this week has investors fund traders cheering the news with higher commodity and stocks prices as we start the month of May.

A record fast planting pace has grains on the defensive as weather is non-threatening for May. Wheat traded to new lows on more rain for U.S. HRW & SRW country while soybean/canola futures were being supported by higher soyoil futures.

Cattle futures continued their record-breaking trend higher while crude oil futures trade to new lows as OPEC+ expected top accelerate their oil production increase ion Monday’s meeting.

Microsoft and META reported earnings that rekindled the AI trade.

As pointed out by some, the US benefits from imposing tariffs so it was a buying opportunity. I did buy the S & P at the time and have some healthy gains. Even demoncrapic billionaires along with their alliance with the fed have failed to roil the president so that is now over as well. The next step is an interest rate cut which will make the markets go higher. Short term interest rates are the highest in the US right now, even higher than 5 year rates so that means the fed is reducing liquidity. This is good if you hold the $. All central banks should be abolished and interest rates traded in the open market so we don't get this wrangling going on.
