Several starting next week in my area of the Peace. Seems a bit early but still in drought here and it is very dry, where we are anyway. I am in no rush myself. Will do a bit of other field work though.

4-5 weeks away in deep NE Sask.

We left NE Sask last Monday with snow banks piled high all deep snow across the fields to visit family in Sunny Alberta. First to Edmonton then Calgary and it’s like a different world weather wise. Beautiful warm sunny weather and hardly a hint of snow anywhere. Back to reality tomorrow and hopefully the snow banks have melted down some since we left.

Snow went down a lot but water just starting to run.
Don't think there is water on the ice on the river below the hill here.

Went through Hemsdale’s area today on the way home. No snow but a little water in the ditch’s and some of the low spots. I am sure the area would welcome rain.

Priorities, first batch of beavers may take 3 weeks to cull, then down to business. 3 down umteen to go. Like killing zombies in a alien movie. But seriously here is all potholes and water runs, need a month maybe. Normal here.

We are slowly just starting to melt. May 1 to 5 th. Could be seeding.

Nights are really cold here, all minus nights with wind chills minus 5-8.
We need warm weather.
