    Thanks for the link.

I listened to his entire presentation.

    Vintage Charlie.

Every farmer needs to consider the points he made. Excellent points.

Have to agree with the overall thrust of his talk. Elsewhere (the rest of the world) people in the ag industry are moving forward and embracing the changing dynamic that is currently occurring within grains based agriculture. But here in Western Canada we're bogged down fighting about the relevance monopolies.

Others are PROSPERING while our grains industry is busy PONTIFICATING, PROPOGANDIZING and POUTING.

    PATHETIC

RE: Charlie's comment......."what if there was a monopoly on women's Italian shoes....."?

I listened to Charlie Mayor's responses in this debate. Sounds like he is just as arrogant and ill informed as ever, could be the age.

However, he said, ...."could you imagine if we had a monopoly on Italian women's shoes..." in comparison to the CWB's monopoly.

What was Charlie's point? That if there was a monopoly on Italian shoes, that the selling price of these shoes would be too high??? That women would have to pay too much??? [aka wheat prices would be too high]

I guess old charlie brown doesnt like higher asking prices for wheat, durum and barley when there is only one seller in town.

Who is Charlie Brown speaking for, the farmer or the grain merchant?

Charlie: do us a favor, get another government job and disappear. Did you hear how much government pensions pay? hikes!

BY THE WAY, DOES CHARLIE HAVE A FOOT FETISH?

Charlie's point if you really had listened was that we have choice in pretty much everything including crackers, hotels and Italian shoes.

Canadian's would not tolerate the removal of those choice's.

Oh, and Benny I am sorry to have to tell you this but there are other people in the world who sell wheat and barley as well.

Remember the market share thing? Probably not it was in the CWB annual report. Why would you read that?

                    11% for wheat

                    8% for barley
