    Remote security systems

Does anyone have any recommendations for remote security systems? I have a remote building that I’d like to monitor. There’s no wifi at the site so it would have to send alarms or alerts over a cellular network. Thinking a driveway monitor and a couple of door monitors on the shed would be a good start, and maybe a camera or two. I have no idea where to start on this. What’s everyone else using?

I also have a remote building I am looking to install a security sstem that does not rely on wifi or A/C current. Last winter when I went south a installed a Ring security system and it worked very well and alerted me of any disturbance around the farm however I had 120 V house current and wifi. If I find something I will post my findings here.

I bought a Vosker 150 security camera to monitor our equipment when we can’t get it back to the yard, Too many vandals and fuel thieves to not monitor. It uses cell and solar panel. Subscription is $9-20 per month. It’s a HD camera that is triggered by a motion sensor. It sends a picture and text to my phone the second it triggers. Works excellent

That sounds good, any particular brand better than another?

            good sportsman from costco
I see some at cabellas as well now have 2 or 3 cameras in a box.
I really cant say if any brand is better or not. Mine takes 8 AA batteries but they last at least 6 mo. and work in the cold.
A feature that would be nice is if you could trigger a picture from your phone, maybe they have that now. there is a setting that will take a pic everyday at the time of your choosing so that works fine.
