When I have to lean into the wind to stay upright walking across the yard its not very nice out. Glad we are done combining and field work on some will wait until this crap stops. The standing stubble wins again.

Lots of guys left canola out with regrowth waiting for a frost, they didn't want to spend are now paying the price and then some.

Finished most of the canola last night, have 40 acres of canola plots and 2 quarters of flax to do when the weather smartens up. Miserable day today with the wind and rain this morning, .8” so far with wind gusts up to 60k.

We got 7/10" rain cold drizzle all day...mellow soil to work now! Building subsoil too.

Up to a half inch rain so we took Sunday off. Start up tomorrow again. Florida storm is going to go right over my house ****. Oh well that's Florida.

What was the maturity like on the pioneer P520L? I had some in also and it was very late compared to L340 and L356. Pod shatter and drop was actually pretty good on the P520L.

It didn't seem to be any different from the 356. It was seeded tail end of seeding. I expect to grow some next year. IMO BASF is doing everything they can to encourage farmers to look for alternatives to Invigor canola by their seed prices, rebate setup etc.
